For "Lau" Laura Victoria Salazar, mural art is her resilience and a collective storytelling tool for the communities that she serves.  Raised in Oakland California, from a rich multi-ethnic background of Native American Mapuche, Chilean and Jewish ancestry, Lau utilized her art to help her navigate her complex intersectional identities.

Passionate about empowering people, she created the Do You See Me Movement: a global interactive project that reclaims the narrative of the disenfranchised through mural activism. Currently Lau facilitates art and activism workshops to all ages and is bi costal.

Lau works under the artist alias Mujer Muralista, it is her personal mission to create art with community on each continent. Please DM inquiries via Instagram @Mujermuralista or through the Contact tab on this site.
